Automatic Rescue Device

ARD (Automatic Rescue Device) is a safety mechanism for emergency reason, it will be activated automatically when there is a blackout (electric power supply network went down).

ARD is responsible for bringing the car to the nearest level and opening the automatic door at that level for passengers to exit, then stops the elevator.

ARD uses internal batteries or UPS devices to operate.

How ARD works?

The ARD comes into operation within few seconds when the AC mains power is failure or power system got problem in the lift itself.

If the lift is staying at the floor level, ARD simply open the cabinet door.

If the lift is blocked between two floors, ARD turns the motor in the direction that requires the least expenditure of current to bring the cabinet to the nearest floor level or bottom floor level with commanded, and then open the door.
