Montanari traction machine is developed and manufactured by Montanari Giulio & C s.r.l, located in Modena Italy, is another solution for elevator, using for both hoisting structure with or without machine room.
Montanari traction machine is divided in 2 categories, including gearbox M-series and gearless MG-series for different elevator designs to meet all requirements of elevator manufacturers.
The selection of using a specific type of traction machine is based on the calculation of elevator parameters such as static load, rated load, torque, speed, ratio, driven type and hoisting structure. , etc.

GEARBOX MACHINE M-Series
M50, M65, M73, M75, M76, M83, M93, M95, M98, M104, M109
Range of gearboxes with static load variable from 750kg to 15000kg for elevator rated load up to 3000kg (3 tons, 2:1 ratio), rated speed ranges from 0.24m/s and up to 2.5m/s with optional manual brake on machine.
The different combination of ratios and sheave diameters make the range of M-Series able to cover every possible elevator requirements.
Gearbox machine M-Series is applicable only for the shafts with machine room above.
GEARLESS MACHINE MG-Series
MG200, MG34, MGV19, MGV25, MGV30, MGV34, MGX19, MGX53, MGX75, MGX80
The MG-Series gearless machines with the static load range from 1600kg up to 6200kg, creating elevators with rated load ranged from 300kg up to 6000kg (6 tons, 4:1 ratio), operating with rated speeds from 0.5m/s up to 4.0m/s.
MG-Series gearless machines are applying new technology of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMS), without traditional gearbox, thus, the maintenance for mechanical gear component and changing oil are not required anymore, will suitable for both shaft with or without machine room.
MG-Series machines are the best choice for new projects and modernization of existing elevators.
