Traction machine

Ziehl-Abeeg offers 3 machine lines including ZAtop, ZAsyn, and ZAdisc for different elevator designs to meet all requirements of elevator manufacturers.

The selection of using a specific type of traction machine is based on the calculation of elevator parameters such as static load, rated load, torque, speed, ratio, driven type and hoisting structure, etc.

Main features:

• Manufacturing: Made by/in Ziehl-Abegg factories in Künzelsau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
• Technology: Gearless synchronous motor actuated by NdFeB permanent magnets (PMS)
• Standards: According to the provisions of the European Lift Directive 2014/33/EU
• Design: Various frame sizes for optimum shaft and shaft head dimensions
• Static load/axle: 1500kg (1.5 tons) - 18000kg (18 tons)
• Rated load: 200kg – 5000kg (5 tons)
• Rated speed: 0.5m/s – 8.0m/s
• Energy consumption: Very low, les than 40%-60% in comparison to other gearbox machines
• Noise emissions: Very low noise emissions < 50dB
• Temperature protection: Insulation class F (1550C) with temperature monitoring via PTC thermistor
• Safety brake: Motor brake is very high safety component according to the Lift Directive 2014/33/EU
• Speed encoding: Can be equipped with conventional encoder systems (e.g. EnDat, SSI, SinCos)
• Optimizing: Optimum package solution with ZAdyn frequency inverter from Ziehl-Abegg
